I dont know if I'm in the right place, but maybe one of you guys can help me...

I want to be able to use formmail.pl or something similar on my intranet. My challenge is that I'm trying to do it using Freeware/Shareware software. What do I need in the way of web servers, mail servers, perl interpreters etc, to get this going.

Any suggestions for:
1. How to do it...
2. Where to find the info on what I need and how it works?

Hi,

It might help to know if your server is running a MS Os or a Unix type OS.

Under Windows, you can use IIS (comes with Windows), Apache (free download) or maybe others as web servers; Persits' MailSender or MS' own component as mail server and VBScript in asp pages to do the job (you can use ActivePerl as Tracy suggested, but under Windows it makes more sense to use VBScript unless you already know Perl).

If your OS is of the Unix persuasion, then I would definitively go with Apache, sendmail and Perl. You could also use php.

Bye.
