Hey all,

Having a problem with a mail server. I'm running Red Hat 9, with a sendmail mail server. I have it configured to handle multiple domains.

One client (ex. @ abc.com) says they are having trouble receiving from some domains (ex. @xyz.com), and that those domains are receiving an error back:
unrouteable mail domain "abc.com"

He is also having problems sending to several domains. For some domains he can't send because of the unrouteable mail domain problem, but he's getting a data format error when trying to send to an Iserv address.

Any ideas?

Uh, what?!!?!?
How about stating for which domains you're hosting, even using made-up names. I didn't follow from your question who's external and who you're hosting.

Hehe - sorry about that.

Our mail server is Red Hat 9 running sendmail configured for multiple domains.

Of the domains hosted abc.com is having a problem sending/receiving from several domains.

He is getting an unrouteable domain error when he sends to or receives from xyz.com - which we don't host.

He is also getting a data format error when trying to send to an Iserv address.

Hope that clears up any confusion.
