Hello,

To my knowledge, this usually refers to an error with reaching the SMTP Gateway. I would run an nslookup on the Domino server and make sure you can resolve the domain name. I would then try and lookup the MX record for the domain and open a telnet session on port 25.

First, look up the mx record on
Second, from the CLI, open a Telnet session to port 25
i.e. = telnet john@domain.com 25

If it works, you should get an SMTP session on the remote Gateway.

Hope this helps.

Rgds,

John
