Hi there,

I'm planning for anti-virus/spam solution for newly built e2k3 system with f/e & b/e servers.

If using MSE, can install on both f/e & b/e servers; & it's more "configurable"

If using SMTPGW, need to install on addtional hardware in front of f/e server; & it's less "configurable"

Can I concluded that MSE is a better option than SMTPGW?

Please feel free to comments! Many thanks!

We use both. The SMTP Gateway allows another tier of protection from viruses by protecting your email server from ever getting emails that are infected. Just my opinion but I'd rather be safe than sorry later.
