I use notes replication when out of the office from a laptop. Problem is that when I read email from laptop and replicate, all my emails still appears to be unread on my desktop machine when I return to the office. This is a major hassle when receiving large volumes of email. Is there a solution to this or is it just a "feature" of the product?

It's a feature because you technically haven't read these documents. They have a seperate docid from those created in your replica.

I know of two workarounds.
1. Use a local replica at work.
2. Create an agent that you would enable when going on the road. This agent will move all new mail to a folder called X. Set your replica properties to only retrieve mail from folder X. Turn off the agent when you return to the office.

Or you could just make sure that on the replicator page you have the arrows going both ways for your mailbox. Thus sending updates from your local replica as well as receiving them
