I have a question for you great minds. I currently am running RedHat 7.3 with postfix to do some spam filtering and then mail is forwarded to Exchange box. I was attempting to set up another spam server "Msg inspector" and have mail go from from Linux/Postfix box to Msg Inspector and then to Exchange. I added all DNS entries to DNS srv, added MX record. I edited main.cf in /etc/postfix and /etc/postfix/exchange file to point to the new spam server. Funny thing is i was still getting mail to exchange from Linux box. It was bypassing my new Spam box. Are there any other files that need to be edited to point to new spam MTA and is this even possible to have Linux/Postfix send mail to Message Inspector and Msg Insp send e-mail to Exchange??? Any help would be appreciated.

Why would you add an MX record?

If you want the path to remain Postfix -> Msg Inspector -> Exchange, then the MX record still needs to continue to point to the Postfix box. Set up a transport map to push it over to the Msg Inspector box from there. --
