Hi,

I have sendmail working great on a Linux 7.0 server. Here is my problem. I am the network administrator of a school system outside of Boston with five schools. I have approximately 450 email accounts. I allow relay between the IP addresses of each school along with the town's Exchange (Big mistake on their part!) server. I am not relaying for other ISPs, and this is becoming a problem.

If some one is using AOL (or what ever) at home, and they get an email, my server does not allow the message to be relayed. They have to respond by sending a new message. Am I being too careful? Do others allow relaying?

I would like to here from you guys.

Thanks!

Hi there!

I'm not a specialist at this but your quess about relaying and what other companies etc does, they DO NOT allow relaying.

If allowing relaying you might be a good target for spamming and stuff, and THAT is not fun!

Hope that some other person can give you a technical instruction though!
