At work I have my own exchange 2003 mailbox running Outlook 2003 client and I have configured it so should I receive any emails I get sent a notification which pops up on the screen with a brief 2 liner with the details.

However I also have an addtional exchange mailbox added in and need to to monitor this mailbox constantly at least check every 5 mins. I am not the owner. I need to respond to all email within an hour. I cannot see a way in Outlook 2003 to get a mail notification to pop up for this additional mailbox. I have a direct link to it in my favourite folders and can see in bold when mails arrive BUT it means I still have to be in Outlook or have it open to see the new mails arrive. I really want to keep Outlook minimsed and be informed when mail arrives.

I have also tried creating a rule client side (Outlook 2003), for the additional mailbox for either display notification or show in new alert window but if fails to work.

Can this be done in Outlook 2003 ? Or do I need to get hold of another tool to do this ? If so any ideas what I could use ?

Thanks in Advance

Can't be done natively. About the best you can do is create a rule from the secondary mailbox that forwards the email to you. Then you create a rule on your own mailbox that pops up an alert and deletes the item.
