mail messages turned to post??????

Suddenly emails from 3/24/02 to 7/5/02 all turned to post with no body all i get is a post with a from and a subject. No message and no attachment even if it shows an attachment in the email. A gwcheck didnt fix the problem. Backups are not an option and I don't want to get into it. I am trying to save the local administrators job at that site. Any suggestions. These are supposed to be mail messages not post.
I think that is what they are called they look like a post it with a push pin in it.

When you ran GWCHECK, did you run it against a single Mailbox or the entire Post Office? What options did you select when you ran it?

From what you descibe, you should be completing a Top-DOwn Rebuild... From Domain to User Mailboxes.
