Mail Merge Security not working

In Access/Word 97 Mail Merge would ask for userid/password when connecting to data source (Access db)

This does not happen in version 2003. Any user can access any data regardless of security setup in Access.

Am I missing something? A setting somewhere?

Word Mail Merge needs to prompt for userid & password to grant access to data. How do I make this happen?
