Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find a mail merge option that allows me to enclose an e-mail to several recipients. Within this I need to have personalized information (i.e. passwords, IP addresses, LAN speeds, etc) and names to each individual person I send it to. I have an excel file with names and their personal information, but I have been unable to find a program/site that allows me to do something like this. I've tried MS Word's mail merge, but it does not have the capability to refer to an excel sheet while sending the mail and incorporate the person's own information.

For example, my excel sheet has 3 names, Joe, Bob, and Mary in one column. The other columns include their e-mail addresses, user names, passwords and IP addresses which they will put into the program to begin with. What I need is a utility that will refer to this excel sheet, read their names and send it to their e-mail addresses with a personalized greeting and give them their own information, rather than the entire excel file.

If this could be better answered on another forum elsewhere, please let me know. I appreciate any and all help that you folks can give me.

Thanks,

Don't need a utility. Need a real program.

Look at IBM's Websphere TX, it can read the file, format the data, get information from another file or database, and send a e-mail via it's e-mail adapter to everyone on the list with individual information.

It is not cheap, but depending on how many clients you have and how often this needs to be done, it could have a good ROI.

It can also be used for many more projects in e-business.
