MAIL MERGE PROBLEMS

Hi All hope you can help me here

MS-Word hangs if I open a mailmerge-Document which gets data from an excel-sheet. "WORD is waiting for Excel to accept DDE commands".

I can go to another workstation and do the same task with the same documents and it takes seconds.

Do you receive the same error if you already have your datasheet open and then open your Word Mail Merge doc?

I have never tried that......have always opened Word first. This process has always worked in the past and workson other macnines....just seems like this one particular workstation.

Any ideas? Thanks for the reply Cordury
