Mail Merge? Need inserting automation assistance

We have a form letter that we are going to send to over 200 users. This letter is an invitation for training that is being provided to our users. Each user will receive an email sent directly to them with the letter inserted in the body of the email. We wish to insert the letter into the body of an email WHILE inserting the individual users name into the To: [username] and insert their email address in one other area in the letter that will identify their [login id] for the training site. How can I automate the process of, opening an email, adding the recipient and adding the recipients name and login id into the body of the template.

Any thoughts?
