Mail Merge from Access to Word 2002

I'm using a bespoke Access application which is in Access 2002. I can't seem to merge from a query to Word. Do I need to set up a Data Source for this to happen?

I've been trying to do this but am having no joy. Can anyone run me through the steps for setting up a new datasource if my user interface is in C:/Database/Data.mdb, the actual data is stored in another drive. But the query is on the User Interface..

pleease help me!
