When I click on any link that is a "mailto" html tag, i get 50+ Internet Explorer windows that open up saying that the page cannot be displayed. When you click on any such link, it should open a "new mail" window from Outlook Express, with the "to" address already there for you. Is this an IE problem or an Outlook Express problem??
If anyone could help with this I would appreciate it. I am running win2k (no beta) P3-500, 256RAM 13GigHD. I would reinstall IE/OE but it is not an option in "Remove Programs"
I cannot seem to find Outlook express for Download to see if I can reinstall it over the existing install...What's up with this?
Help please. This 50+window thing is ridiculous...

Thanks,
The one thing that pops into my head immediately is what is setup as your E-Mail Option within Internet Options ¦ Programs? Do you happen to have Office installed and could possibly check if Outlook would do the same thing? Does it happen with every address, or just certain ones?
It seems that windows has a problem with association links from other programs that IE, there is a fix for office 2k, if you upgraded from NT4 to 2000 its a registry fix, that reasociates the handling of hyperlinks in the windows enviroment, i know that this seem stupid, but i work for a major universty as an IT professional and i have done that many times, cause ppl couldnt open hyperlinks form different applications.

PS. In the words of Kevin Spacy "I RULE"!!!
