Is there a way to make Lotus Notes 6.5.1 look like Outlook? When I click on the mail bookmark icon or the mail button off the welcome page and it shows me the list of folders, can that list look like Outlook. Reason being, I don't like how folders I create are put into the 'Folders' folder and not off the root like Outlook would do. Thank you.

Sorry, but Notes is not Outlook, and you can no more make Outlook look like Notes than the reverse.

Of course, you could redesign the Folders view, but that would be at the cost of not being able to create and use new folders without redesigning your Folders view again. Not to mention that you would be forking your mailbox design from the company standard.

Pascal,

The only reason I asked this is because one day I had an issue where if I clicked on my mail icon, two inboxes would open. One would be the normal look for Lotus. The second looked just like Outlook, where all the folder were off the root. Everyone thought I needed to refresh/replace design. So I did and neither one fixed my problem. It still opened two inboxes no matter what and each on looked completely different. About a day and a half went by and it stopped happening. It went back to the Lotus look. That's why I thought it could be changed. I heard that the versions before 6.5.1 did keep all folders off the root, but not anymore. I still think there's a way to do it. It's just a matter of finding out how.

Two inboxes ?
Sounds like a bug to me.

But I did not say it cannot be done. All I said was that it takes some programming effort to customize.
