Can I sent a mail from my Lotus Notes account i.e. James/esoft@domino to someones internet account i.e. ketan@esoftech.com ?

If yes then what are the steps involved in doing this ?

And how can ketan@esoftech.com send a mail to James/esoft@domino from remote place through any other mail server such as Outlook Express ?

Please help.

Ketan.

Yes you can
Assuming your are running R5
If your Notes server has internet access and resolve DNS names, you can set the relay host in the server configuration document (= smtp server of your ISP),
enable 'using SMTP when sending emails out of the local domain' in the configuration document
enable the SMTP listener in the server document
restart the server

Now if you send a mail to xxx@xxx.xx (internet address) it will be relayed to your ISP's smtp server...

Make sure that the internet address field in the person document contains the email address of a real internet email address (otherwise your email will not be accepted) Peter Van Eeckhoutte
