Mail disappears from inbox after reading 1

We are using Lotus 6.5. I have a user, who after he reads an e-mail, it disappears from his inbox. Anyone know how to fix this

Check that he hasn't clicked the button 'View Unread'.

It said Windows 2000 or better, so I bought a Mac

This could happen if he has pressed the End key, the user will need to drag the marker on the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the inbox view from the right all the way to the left.
Pressing end causes notes to scroll all the way to the right.
