Mail disappears after forwarding

We are using lotus notes 6.5.1 When a user forwards mail it disappears from his inbox.. How can I stop this from happening?
 
Which mail is disappearing, the one he forwards, or the original one he recieved ?

it is the mail that he forwards.. It only disappears from his inbox, however it remains in his all documents.

Is it the sent mail that's disappearing? Do any sent mails appear in the 'Sent' folder? If not, check that his mailbox is set to keep a copy of sent mails. This is in File > Preferences > User Preferences > Mail > General.

It said Windows 2000 or better, so I bought a Mac
 
Is he saving it when he sends it ? If he is, then it should be in the Sent view (it's a view, not a folder).

If he is not, or his preferences (see above) define that he doesn't, then it is normal.
