When I'm trying to send a mail to different host, the mails stays in /var/mail directory. What could be the problem. Which're the config files I should check to see the config.
I've DNS servers, so I 've reslov.conf file defaultdomain file etc. I'm I missing something.Thanks.

Hi ,

U should make an entry of your exchange server for mails (fully qualified name )in the file /etc/mail/sendmail.cf (relay host) and then restart the sendmail service.

I hope this is helpful to u.

I'm getting the following msg.
pdbm map "Alias0": unsafe map file /etc/mail/aliases
what to do?

Hi,
I think someone earlier had made a alias file for that user.
For this do one thing.Go to the home dir of that user and see if alias named file is there. If it is there, then there might be some entry in /etc/mail/aliases for that user.So remove the file named alias and comment the line in /etc/mail/aliases for that user..
I hope this helps...
