Mail conversion problem

We are having problems where users who have a 4.5 and 4.6 mail file are unable to open attachments sent by CDONTS. They get the message 'invalid or non existant document'. If I opent he attachemnt using a 5 client I have no problems.

We run 5.10 on our mail servers

Any ideas?

if the clients are running version 5.x why not upgrade the mail file templates?

can do this for all 4.x templates using the convert command
