Our server endured a spam attack that caused our mail.box file to grow to >3GB. I stopped Domino (v6.5.5) and re-named mail.box then restarted so Domino would create a new one. Mail is routing just fine now.
The re-named mail.box (mail.box_bad) has 99% spam in it, but there are a few mails that are good. I'd like to deliver them for my users by copying them to the new mail.box. But, I've been waiting 4 hours for the file to open in the administrator with no end in sight.
Is there a way I can go in via the command-line and delete all of the bad emails? I know a pattern for all of the spam that I can use as a delete criteria. If I'm able to do it, only the good mails will remain and the file will open quickly.
