Hi all
I have had a Notes v. 5.08 Server which is running out of disk space. I have been deleting unneccessary files and Archiving mail database every night, but I barely have been keeping my head above water for some time. So I did some checking of files and folders just to see where all the disk space was being used. To my horror I have found that the mail.box file has grown to 13Gb in size as shown by Windows exporer. What's odd is that Notes show it as only being 230Mb in Size, probably why I have not found it before now as I rarely map to the Server. I have seen Lotus FAQ which says that a compact is run avery night, but this only reduces the fragmentation and does not perform a file size reduction. Has anyone ever come across this problem ?
If I can get thru tho the weekend I will stop Domino delete the mail.box and start Domino again and I believe this should recreate the mail.box file for me.
Any other suggestion would be much appreciated.
Regards
David
