mail atucked at pickup mailroot\folder

I have a windows 2003 server installed with IIS 6.0 and Exchange 2003. The web appllication uses cdosys to send out email through the web application. The exchange server is working perfectly fine but the email send out by the web application stuck at the mailroot\pickup folder.

Pls help.....

Hi!
What is the format of the e-mails that your Application places in that folder?
Did you try placing manually a text file in that folder with a similar format:

--------
to:realrecipient@somerealdomain.com
from:something@sometthing.net
subject:Some Subject
Some test data
Bye!
----------

If the above message is delivered then it is something with the format in which the application messages are generated - play with it until it works
If the test message is not delivered then the problem is connected with the virtual SMTP server configuration.
How many virtual servers do you have?
Each of them has a corresponding vsi folder. Are you using the correct vsi folder?
