Mail Arriving in Inbox is Black, not Red

This is probably simple, and maybe in the Preferences, but I don't remember how to correct this problem. The user is getting e-mail in her Inbox Black, instead of Red.
I have UNchecked the "Mark documents read when opened in preview pane" option in the User Preferences, so I eliminated that as the problem.
Oh, and we are on version 6.5.2. Thank you very much for your help.
 
Does the user have the option "Don't maintain unread marks" on the rightmost tab of the DB Properties checked ?
If not, it might be a good idea to run a Fixup from the Admin console.

Thank you for the response. The user left me a voicemail message that she is still having the problem. I am in the process of getting in touch with her to check her PC myself, (she is in another location), to make sure she is actually checking what I am telling her to check. I will let you know. Thanks again.
 
It appears that the reason all new e-mails were coming in black, was because the user's date on their database was way in the future. Once the date was fixed, everything is OK now. Not sure how the date ended up being so far in the future.
