I'm working with a photograph that I've zoomed in on so not all of the image is visible. I'm using the Magnetic Lasso Tool to lasso part of the image. What I need to do is temporarily "release" or let go of the lasso so I can move the mouse to my scroll bar to reposition the photograph.

Can I do this? I'm finding that I either hit escape, zoom out so I can see the whole section that I'm lassoing and start over (but without zooming in I don't get the same accuracy) or lasso to the edge of the screen to move the image but end up with tons of crazo lasso points.

Using Win Xp and 9.0.

Thank you.

Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Relief. I was using ctrl, alt and shift but never considered the space bar.

Thank you, Thank you.

Another way is to loop back to complete that part of the selection. Then reposition. As long as the selection tool is in + mode, you can add additional sections to what's already selected.

hahaha
all nice and good, but what if you need to zoom in and out whilst still selecting .... ?
here:

while in your lasoo, pressing the spacebar makes a hand enabling you to move the pic up and down. Now, while pressing the spacebar, press shift or alt and see the hand turn into a magnifying glass, zoom in or out by clicking, release the keyboard holdsd and you're back to selectiing ....

nice hey?

enjoy
