Hi i am told magix phones from Avaya work with Legend is this true? thanks

Wrong! The Magix 44xx telephone is a digital set with only 2 conductors. Legend typically uses MLX telephones that are analog and 4 conductors. You can use Legend phones, with the right card, in a Magix carrier.
