I have a customer who has a Magix rel 3.0 and a Transtalk 9040. When the person is on the transtalk and another call comes in, the person on the phone and the person they are talking to hear a loud beep. I checked and the station has Call waiting off. I can not find any info on call waiting for the transtalk. The customer does not want the loud beep to be heard. Avaya's answer was turning off the ringing, but then the second call does not go into voicemail. If I turn on abbrievated ringing, they hear 2 loud beeps and it goes into voicemail. That is the best I can come up with. Thanks!!!

SOunds like the second intercom button on the phone is causing this. See if you can remove it under central telephone programming.

The customer was asked about that and he said if he had one line then he might as well have a 900 Mhz cordless phone.

Its a common problem that Avaya will not admit to. (nature of the beast)
