Magix with PRI, night service doesn't wanna be immediate

First time with doing a PRI on a Magix R4 with latest Messaging, currently prepping in shop and have [been fortunate]to have only run across one problem so far. The voice mail doesn't want to answer immediately when the night button is on. Hopefully it's a simple fix, but after reading a lot of excellent advise on the site I'm a little confused. Here's the set-up:

Client wants main number to ring at 7300 during day, with a back up coverage to another phone[using secondary coverage] then eventually go to AA1 if everyone is alseep.. this works great as set up.
Then at night, with ns button on, calls for 7300 go directly to AA1. This part doesn't work, it does ring like it's following coverage and eventually go to AA1, and the correct night menu prompt plays.

Night Service coverage control is diabled.
Opr ext is 7300 [main DID number] and has it's MB as AA1
has coverage group 30 [along with all other extensions with mailboxes] and is associated with VMS calling group 7333 [renumbered 770]

ext. 7300 also has one POTS line coming in there, plus the SA buttons.
The night service group [for ext 7300] has calling group 7920, a memberless group 'group ring' that overflows to 7333. [BTW, intercom calls to 7920 and 7333 go right in to VM as they should]
I'm not sure if I should assign lines or not other than the POTS line, I tried both ways and no luck I put in all PRI's [801 to 823] and pots 825. If the lines should be in there, wonder if someone calls [DID] to an extension? will AA1 grab it? confused on this part.. test calls on POTS line 825 and intercom calls yield same results, i.e. it goes to AA1 after same delay rings as the day.

At any rate, everything else tests fine; day zero= opr 7300 and night zero=general 9991 and light lites on 7300. Haven't touched business schedule. I also have 7920 as an AA1 extension, don't know if that helps or hinders.

Any help or guidance will be much appreciated!

Assigning PRI lines to the night service group will have no effect. I believe that I see the missing piece to your puzzle.

Night service resembles black magic when PRI is used since no PRI trunks are assigned to the night service group similiar to GS/LS trunks.

So how does a PRI call work for night service? It is when you use a slight of hand that PRI calls handle properly for night service. You have all of the components but appear to lack one piece.

You need a memberless-linear group built as the AA in question. Go into Messaging assign the group as your AA. Put this group into night service.

You should be able to push the NS butt and get immediate AA coverage for PRI calls.

Black magic [magix] indeed! It is still not working for me for some reason. Perhaps how I am testing it? since I don't have a PRI in the shop, I am just doing an Intercom call to 7300 - that would be handled the same as a DID type call on a SA button, right? anyway ,here is the new group info:

for good measure, a new call group 7921
hunt=linear group type=Integ VMI
no group coverage, no overflow, no members, no lines, pools
in messagaging, set it to AA1 for the ext. 7921

NIght service group: ns attnt: 7300 ; ext=7300 ; group=7921 ; lines=none

still rings total of day coverage, then does go into correct nite message.
I also tried putting 7333 [vm hunt group] as the overflow group with same results...using default number and time based values.

Unrelated- [I should probably start a new thread] re:pRI ,I get last 4 digits from teleco and perfect match to extensions, fax groups, etc; no need for any translations --so I can leave Incoming Routing at 'by line appearance'?? or does it HAVE TO go 'by dial plan' as it says in the troubleshoot FAQ's? thank you!

group type=Integ VMI

You will need to change this from Integ VMI to auto login.

Testing your build by dialing either the group or the operators extension are valid tests. When the group is dialed directly, it should cover immediately and play the AA in question. When NS is on and the operators ext is dialed directly, it should also cover immediately assuming that there are no NS coverers.

Everything is tied together by routing the Main number to the operators ext. Set up your PRI using the doc created by Hardy Wright.
