We are trying to set up a Magix so that during the day calls do not go into the Auto-Attendant. At night they want the Auto-Attendant to pick up the calls. We have programmed a night service button on the Attendant's phone (ext. 201).

The problem is that when the night service button is pushed on Extension 201 the Auto-Attendant works fine. However, if someone tries to dial extension 201 from the Auto-Attendant it just keeps ringing and doesn't go to voice mail. What can we do to fix this or set it up another way so that the Auto-Attendant picks up when a button is pressed but all ofthe extensions eventually go to VM?

Change the default "call service operator" position from 768 to 201. That should solve your problem and record the greeting for ext 201's mailbox - not as a personal greeting for whoever the operator is - but as "The operator" - with instructions to leave a message as if this was the general mailbox.
