I believe it is a merlin messaging 2.5 voice mail. It will just stop answering any calls. The customer resets the whole magix system and it comes back up and answers again but only for a day or so. They reset about 3 times a week. Is there any thing I can do to trouble shoot this?
There is not a great deal of trouble-shooting you can do. If you log in through the RS232 port as "tech1000", you can access the "error log" - which may give you some indication of what has been happening - but that's about it - that I know of.
I had this problem at a sight that thought it was power related. (they were frying pc's) We put a small battery back up on the carrier, and that fixed the problem.
When this system would lock up, all the ports of the messaging would be blinking. A slot reset would not work, we would have to power cycle the system.
