I have a customer with 3 Magix/Legends networked over PPP T-1s, utilizing Centralized VM and they are ready to upgrade to IP Office.
Is it best to keep the current line configuration using PPP T-1s there a better way with the IP Office SCN? Distance is minimal and the main node has to be up 24/7/365. All 3 sites also have some local POTS lines in case the T-1 fails.
Any helpful input is greatly appreciated.

yes the SCN is what I would use, no need to maintain the overhead associated with the T1 PPP. if your looking to have the main node up 24/7/365 I would look into the server edition, you can have centralized voice mail just as you do today with the ability to have failover to a back up server in the event of a power outage. with the new release you no longer need to have duplicate licensing on the VMpro, which I believe makes server edition a viable option.

Good luck!!

only problem is you wont be able to use the POTS on server edition... you can have back up nodes with the preferred and advanced edition as well if the back up POTS are very important to your customer.
