Magix System/Merlin Mail outcalling

Hi all, i am having a issue with a mailbox. Problem is i have no clue which one it is.

There is a message in someone's mailbox that is outcalling a cell phone. No one knows which extension, the person with the cell phone that does not even work there says that the message says to call thier main line to recive the voicemail..

Any suggestions?

Connect to the serial port and pull a configuration report. Use Word to search the report for the cell number to find the mailbox with that number programmed.

Never used the serial port Tommy, i will research that function. But, how would i pull a config report?

If it's Merlin Mail, connect to the serial port on the side with a numm modem cable, 1200-N-8-1. If it's an 007MLM, skip the null modem, same settings. Press Enter to start, use the seial number as the password, select the configuration report from the menu, and capture the text to a file to search through later.

If it is Merlin Messaging, use your 355 adapter you use for WinSPM, plug into the serial port jack, I forget the speed but I think it is 38400, N-8-1. Press Enter to start, use sysadmin as the login and the numeric password on the system administrator's mailbox as the password. Again, follow the menus. OR, if it is Merlin Messaging, use the GUI and just look at every mailbox's outcalling settings.

I had this happen once and since the system was fairly small, I just listed all the mailboxes and deleted the ones they weren't using.

@phonesaz - That was my first option that i was going to take, until i saw there was about 60 mailboxes. Then i chickened out ha!
