Hi all, I have a customer who has a magix in NY and a magix in NJ. This system was originally installed by AVAYA. I relocated the switch to a new office in NY this past friday. As part of the relocation, they switched the pt to pt T1 to an MPLS circuit. The new MPLS circuit has not been delivered yet. All calls to both sites hit the NY switch first. The NJ exts went over the pt to pt to NJ, then if they didnt answer the calls went back to NY to the Audix voicemail system. As of now if I call a DID for the NJ site I get "the number or code you have dialed is incorrect. Please check the number or code and try again". The NY DID's when called go to the audix when not answered. The customer wants the NJ DID's to go right to the audix until the MPLS circuit is delivered. If I call the main number and dial a NJ ext it just rings no answer. If I dial a NY DID and press *8 to transfer to a NJ ext, I hear the persons recorded name, a click, and then it rings no answer.
I was thinking of renumbering the NJ exts to adjuncts so they go right to the audix. Please let me know if this is the correct solution or is their something else I should try.
Thanks,
Brian

You need to clarify some things. You say ALL calls go to NY first and then are transferred or routed to NJ over the DS1 ckt. Now that NY ofc has moved, nothing is connected between them, pending the install of new MPLS ckt. Then you mention NJ DIDs, are those actual NJ phone numbers, NPA NXX-XXXX, terminating in NY or what? How or where do the NJ DIDs connect to the NJ switch?

Your choices of what can be done, depend on where things are terminated and what the Legend/Magix will support without the point-to-point ckt.

Yes. You will need to take the NJ extensions out of the non local UDP and reprogram them as adjuncts.

Thank you both for the responses. Bluemr2- I did exactly what you posted and it worked like a charm. This is only temporary anyway until they get the MPLS circuit installed.
Thanks again.
