I need to add a T1 to a Magix Night Service. The T1 trunks (805-828) are in pool 890. Can I add 890 to Night service or do I need to enter all of the T1 channels individually? Thanks in advance.

When a call comes in on a T1 (or PRI) it becomes number-based instead of line-based. Usually, you point the main number to the Operator, give the Operator voicemail coverage, and create the Operator's mailbox to route to the automated attendant. Then you use DND to get the calls there immediately instead of after the Voicemail Coverage timer expires, and the Night Service button (or the Voicemail business schedule) to switch from the Day to the Night message.

Oops, I didn't explain it well. I need to add the PRI to a night service group. We want calls to ring to the night service group of extensions.

If your channels are routed by dial plan, which is the normal operation, then they can not be assigned to Night Service.

A Direct Inward Dial (DID) call to any member of a Night Service group rings at all group members’
telephones, unless a Calling Group is assigned to the Night Service group. If a Calling Group is
assigned to a Night Service group, a DID call to the Night Service group is routed to that Calling
Group. If a member of the Calling Group is available, the call rings at that extension and nowhere
else. If the Calling Group has no available members, the call remains in the Calling Group’s queue
until a member is available. During this time the caller hears ringback, but the call does not ring at
any extension on the system.

Google Magix Feature Reference for the playbook on this

Ok, first this customer has no voicemail. All calls rang to x100 and when Night Service was on all calls went to the NS group.

Then voicemail was installed and an AA answered all calls. The AA is an adjunct extension 262.

Now they don't want the AA answering calls anymore, ever. I got the calls to bypass the AA by programming a Primary Cover 262. I did this with help from people who used to know Magix but haven't touched it in a long time, it's the best we could do.

The two analog lines that calls come into go to Night Service fine, but when the calls roll to the PRI they don't go to Night Service. There has to be a way to make this happen, because it used to work. Any ideas? In a separate thread I asked for a referral to a good Magix programmer. Still open to paying someone to fix this! :)

Thank you TTT, merlinman was exactly the right person.
