In troubleshooting an issue with an analog device, a hardware vendor has repeatedly asked me if the message waiting lights on the Magix are LED or Neon, and he says the setting can be changed. I told him I don't believe that's true, but he is insistent. He knows this because the old Definity systems have adjustable Message Waiting Signaling, so surely the Magix does too. Can someone confirm or deny this?

this person is absolutely wrong. definity switches could be equipped with optional hardware allowing it the use of neon message lamps
you may even see some neon lamps working with 1a key equipment. neon message lamps are not supported in legend/magix voice messaging or telephones.
