I've set up 011 over a PRI a million times. But I have a very weird issue ...

I have a customer that we cut over from 1 carrier with a plain T1 to a new carrier and a PRI. They are able to make international calls fine. They're able to call the Czech Republic pots lines fine. But are unable to make calls to the Czech Republic cell phone numbers only???

Before I tell them to raise hell and switch providers, is there something I can look at? Has anyone seen this?

Thanks!

What exactly is happening when you place the call?

Do you get a fast busy?

Do you get a recording? If so, what language? And what does the recording say? That should provide some info as to where the call got blocked.

International calls use a variable length address. Make sure to put a # after the last number keyed so the call will be processed faster. This is true for all types of service: PRI, POTS, DS1.

It sounds like your new carrier or who ever this carrier uses for international calls doesn't have that NNX programed into their calling plan, if it worked with the old carrier, just call your new carrier and ask them to check that NNX.

Thanks.

I'm getting a recording, in english. Lightpath (THe carrier) uses AT&T for their international. It's an English AT&T message.

I agree with allisland the CARRIER is blocking this call, most likely 'cause they do not have that NNX programmed in their calling plan.
