Magix INA Question

Quickie. Does anyone know if by default the Magix INA board has proxy ARP enabled? Or if this is even a configured option? The answer might help me troubleshoot some site networking issues we're seeing.

I'm pretty confident that the answer to your question is "Yes". However, you should consult the Portmaster Configuration Guide (May 2000) instead of the INA Module Installation and Configuration Guide. It's the same product, but the other documentation spells out things a bit clearer. That and the pdf file that you can download from Avaya is corrupt (despite my repeated pleas to fix it).

The INA board has it's own processor, it's own RAM and an ability to store off settings. It should be treated as a completely separate animal from anything else in the Magix.

Let me know if you're missing any critical documentation. I'm sure I've got it for you.

Thanks for the reply. Actually I have an old copy of the Lucent PortMaster Configuration Guide, but it's from November 1998. I've pasted the text from the title page below.

A quick look at it didn't uncover anything pertaining to proxy ARP, however. I'll keep hunting around, although I think by default most routers would have this feature enabled by default anyway. That's what I see on Ciscos and other vendor's equipment.
