Hello. I have added a TDL card to my magix 3.0 system. All is fine. I had an MLX-20L on extension 17 on an 412 MLX module, which is working perfectly with my Merlin Messaging release 3.0. I want to replace the MLX-20L, with a 4424 LD, but I want the 4424LD to be extension 17 AND I want voicemail to work properly with it. I successfully swapped extension 65 (on the TDL card, with 17 on the MLX card), using single renumber. I did all of the proper programming on the new extension, to have the line appearances and features that I wanted. I then changed the cables at the distribution point and placed the 4424LD in place of the MLX20L. When I call an internal extension from the newly placed 4424LD, the recipient's phone shows EXTENSION 17, exactly as expected. When I check my voicemail, and hit the # key for my extension, then enter my password, everything works as expected. I can check my voicmail box for extension 17.

BUT, when a call comes into the system from outside, then rolls to the voicemail box, the system is sending extension 65 to the voicemail, thus I get the error message, "65 is not a valid extension, transfering call" and the call is transfered to the operator.

Have you seen this, or have I missed something in the programming. I have checked the voicemail calling group, the extension 65 was automatically added to the calling group when I did the single renumber. 17 was not in the calling group, so I added it, this made no difference. I really hate to change my voicemail extension to 65, which is really not an option, because when you check voicemail from extension 17 and hit #, it sends 17 to the voicemail system??

I'm really in a bind here and want this to work correctly. If not, I'm going to be forced to place the old MLX-20L back at extension 17.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Check under Lines and Trunks for Principal Owner of each of the lines. It was probably set to 17 before the renumber, but changed to 65 after the renumber. Change it back to 17, and you should be good.
