Have a customer that has a bonded PRI for voice and data. Customer will drop calls with high call volumes. Customer was using PAETEC and switched to another carrier due to the drop call issue and rising cost. They are still getting dropped calls with new carrier with high call volumes. Customer originally had 2 circuts 1 data 1 voice no issues. This was a few years ago at least. Have other customers with voice and data circuits with no issues, but these customer have just 1 circuit not a bonded circuit like this customer. Customer has 2 carriers with the second carrier housing the DS1 card. Do you think the dropped calls could be from faulty power supply? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

How many DS1s does the customer currently have? There is NO bonding unless you have two or more DS1s! Is the PRI a full 23B+D connection? Are you getting any alarm errors from the Magix? What kind of IAD is installed? Who is the current provider? Does VOICE have priority?

....JIM....

Print PRI and post. Each PRI has to have its own D channel. When you say that it is bonded do you mean D channel or B channel bonding?

Is there a IAD (Cisco or Adtran etc)on site or does each PRI plug into a smart jack?

It's people like you who generalize.

Should have been clearer when I said bonded, circuits are bonded for data. Both circuits go into a Adtran IAD with the voice being delivered as only 1 PRI. Current provider is Clear Rate Communuications. Like I said, before they had integrated voice and data every thing worked good no drop calls. When I installed the system from staight PRI to Integrated did not make many if any changes to programming. Next time on site will print PRI info. Thanks!
