Can anyone tell me the impedence settings for the 800DID card?

-900 or 600 ohm (fixed)
-gain/loss or 0db
-levels in on trunks (set at -3db right now)

Thanks in advance.

You would be safe using 600 ohm, and a trunk side loss of 0db, however you will get some loss at the extension of approximately -2db, though this is negligable and most of us humans wouldn't notice it.

If your saying that you are getting a -3db loss on a dry pair back to the C.O., than you will get a noticeable drop in volume at the extension and far end (-2db + -3db) though it would not be great enough to interfere with a conversation, and since the loop loss (-3db) is so close to the standard acceptable loss (-2db on an existing circuit) you probably won't get the LEC to do much about it. If the loop loss were -5db or greater, than you would experience very noticeable volume loss, though more than likely it would be isolated to one circuit.

Thanks for the info, I passed it on to the Telco Office. This is the first DID Install for them in the Area.

However I have another minor problem:
"The Customer is having a problem with echo and tinny/hollow sounding calls."

The echo problem seems to have cleared after the Telco set it for 900 ohm but still having the tinny/hollow sounding calls issue.

Any ideas will be greatly apperciated!

Thank you again in advance.

Sorry forgot to mention that the DID card has also been replaced!
