I need to put in a system this weekend and havent done DID's before on a Magix. Anyone able to give me the steps necessary to make this happen?

I will be assigning 4 digit extensions that are the same as the 4 digits passed by Vz. This way I don't need to translate.

Where do I start on this? Kinda in a bind as I need to get this done over the weekend. Will be willing to work with someone on this if possible.

It's pretty simple - Under Lines and Trunks you will find DID settings. Tell the Magix how many digits to expect, the type of signalling (wink, immediate, etc), and if they will be Touch Tone or Rotary. Put all your DID trunks in Block 1.

As far as wiring back to Verizon, POLARITY MATTERS!. You are supplying battery voltage to them. Use a butt set like a TS-21 or 22, connect the clips Black to Tip and Red to Ring. Press the polarity button and go off hook, you should see the LEDs go GREEN, RED, GREEN if it is correct.

The DID cards were engingeered for you to terminate Verizon's side on a jack, and use a standard telephone line cord to connect to the Magix, so they rolled polarity on the DID card to compensate for the line cord. If you are using a connecting cord with a crimped on modular plug, you may have to reverese your leads.
