Client is looking to service observe, but not station. He wants to service observe lines.
It is set up in PBX mode, but the lines are taken out of pool 70 to give it a key-looking appearance. He can tap on the line, but a message comes up in the display alerting the person on the phone that someone has joined the call. He wants this done wothout the other person knowing. Is there a way to do this?
He used to have a Melco KM-330B device that allowed him to do this on his Tie-key system. Can I use the same device?

Also, the volume on my music on hold is very low. I checked the audio out put from the source and it is loud. I adjusted the volume on the music coupler and it got a little louder, but not enough.I traded to another coupler-no dice. I don't think that there is a MOH volume control in programming. Might I be doing something wrong?

You could hook the Melco to the CO Lines. Connect the observer's connection to a line, and only assign it to his phone, or put it in a pool and give him pool code access.

No MOH volume setting in programming, but you need a LOUD signal for the Legend. Oh, and the volume control on the coupler is BACKWARDS, louder is COUNTER-clockwise.

So, take the melco and punch the lines down on it.
Take a CO port and connect it to a line on the Melco?
Then assign the line as a personal CO to that person and viola?

As for MOH, Yeah, I know about the counter clockwise. I have one of those magic on hold devices and that is up as loud as it goes and still not really loud. Is there a way to juice the signal?

Only with an external amp.

Magic on Hold should have a 600-ohm and an 8-ohm output. The 8-ohm is amplified. Try that one, and there should also be a volume control on it. If that still doesn't get it, as Tom says, you'll need to add a small amplifier in line with it.

Magix service observing is done at the EXTENSION LEVEL, not lines.

Will that solve your issue?

I will try the 8ohm setting thanks. If not, I can find a small amp to juice it up.
Thanks.
