Just bought a magicolor 2 DeskLaser printer on ebay. On back of machine is a parallel port & two other port openings, one has TX above it & the other one has RX below it. Between the two ports is the word link. What is TX & RX and how do you hook them up to a network?

hi does this other port look like a little square 2cm ish
if so it is a ethernet port for networking, you need to set up a small network if you use this port or for single machine connections a cross over cable, google search it!!!

hope it helps look at this below

The most overlooked advantage to owning a computer is that if they foul up there's no law against wacking them around a little.

In other environments:

RX = Receive
TX = Transmit

No idea how this relates to your printer; they may be ethernet ports (but most printers would only have one (if any), so not sure if this would be the case.

If you describe the appearance of these two ports in greater detail, some-one else may be able to assist.
