I have a Madge 60 . It is a ISDN switch.

All I want it to do is for Line 1 to call Line 2
and have line 2 answer.
I keep getting ;
Cause i = 0x8181 - Unallocated/unassigned number
on the dialing router and nothing on the other router.

I have also got invalid number format Cause codes.

I have tried , many , many different ways. I get the
lines up and activated, B1 and B2 when I use port to port.

If any body has a simple plan, can you let me know ?

Jim

If I'm understanding you correctly you are trying to call B1 from B2 on the same BRI circuit, right?

Are you "dropping" a BRI or providing network from your switch to a TA (ISDN phone, modem, router?)

A single BRI is plugged into your router (from the Model 60) and you are attempting to call yourself? Without knowing the application you're trying to set up I'd say you're just curious. Try programming the BRI for NI-1 or DMS-100, these are multi-point ISDN protocols. You need to assign a unique SPID and number to each channel. There's more to it than that too, but there are a couple things to think about.

The only time I ever needed to dial B1 to B2 was to do a loopback test from my BRI test-set.
