I made a clone of a vm that was powered off, it was working fine on the subnet and IP is always had.. Well now, my clone is in a different subnet and is work but the original vm in which I used to make the clone is experiencing an" unplugged network cable" error..

I don't even see the vmware nic adapter in the tcp/ip stack like it would normally use being that it is a virtual machine..

is there anyway to get that virtual adapter back?

very strange...

thanks for any information

In the settings of your VM, it may be showing the current adapter as Disconnected or the box is not checked to connect on power up.
Power down your VM and re-add a virtual adapter.
note: I am referencing ESX VM configurations.
