I just inherited another db where the developer has used both modules and macros. I normally use modules exclusively. When is it appropriate to use macros as opposed to modules, and what's the advantage?

Modules seem to have much greater functionality and control. Macros are getting more robust with each version of Access. The latest version allows us to host an Access application in Sharepoint. This architecture does not allow modules/VBA (only macros).

Funny you should mention that; I was just asked about hosting this db in Sharepoint. Aside from the fact that I don't know Sharepoint, we're still on Access 2003, and won't get 2010 until sometime next year. But the VBA code from Access 03 can still have a Sharepoint front end, right? Maybe I can get them to buy me some training! (yeah, right!)
