Every time I open Excel, a Microsoft Visual Basic window pops up saying: "Compile error in hidden module: AutoExecNew."
Also when I close Excel, another Microsoft Visual Basic window pops up and says: "Compile error in hidden module: AutoExit."
I have pinpointed the Macro's that are running and they are:
AcrobatPDFMaker.AutoExecNew.Main and AcrobatPDFMaker.AutoExit.Main.

I want to stop the Microsoft Visual Basic window from popping up and I want to do this without effecting anything else with Excel!

Any idea's?

Hi chanzen,

I think this happens when you have new versions of Excel with old versions of the Acrobat writer.

Have a look in your startup folders - see Tools > Options > General tab for where they are, but also look in (Install Root)\Office\XLStart

If you find the culprit (possibly a short cut to the culprit), delete (or move) it so that it doesn't get autoloaded.

Enjoy,
Tony

Thanks to TonyJollans and SkipVought! I could not uncheck references because the file was locked by a cliesnt outside the company. So I deleted the file from the XLSTART folder.

Thanks again,
Chanzen
