Hi,

I am trying to import a comma delimited file with over 230 columns per line. Is there anyway to write the code to do this in MS Excel macros? Thank you.

Hi MaxED,

Try recording a macro while you are opening the CSV, and then review the code.

;P

I tried the recording but the lines of code were too long so it gave me an error.

How about from the menu,.. Data>get external data>new database query...the choose text files from the left tab...follow the wizard from there to point it to your text file.

if your successfull returning your data...then you can set properties to auto update on open, fill additional formulas, etc....(right click in the returned data area and choose properties)
