Macromedia Director Freezes

I have 30 second video .mpg movies that play on my computer for a number of days...Played in an .exe file created from Director -- Director reads from a text file... that tells which movies to play...

Sometimes this .exe file crashes after playing for a number of days...
Anyone with a solution or script to possibly keep the .exe from crasahing?

What could be possibly happening is that you have a small memory leak which over time fills up all the memory thus resulting in the projector crash. Since you are reading from files, I would suggest you look at your xtra code to make sure that the xtra instances are destroyed after use, all property variables are destroyed after use, use of globals is kept to a minimum and well managed.
Also lookup 'alertHook' to avoid seeing script errors.
